Vileyka joins friendly STEM-family!

On June 11, the Association “Education for Future” visited Vileyka Center for Continuing Education at the grand opening of STEAM-class. In new STEAM-laboratory children and teachers plan to work on the project “Planet of Scientific Miracles”.

The history of Vileyka STEM-center is not ordinary. Last year the Vileyka Center for Continuing Education took part in Association' competition “I want to study in STEM-class!” – and despite the fact that the Center did not enter the second round, they continued to participate outside the competition. The STEAM-project proposed by the Vileika Center was highly appreciated by the jury – so, the Vileika Center won a special prize and a methodologist of the center Olga Shostak was awarded a status of “STEM Leader”.

From the organizers of the competition “I want to study in STEM-class!” the Center's pupils were given a set of 11 tablets, which immediately began to be used in educational process.

However, the Vileyka Center for Continuing Education did not stop there: its pupils and teachers decided to create a STEAM-class on their own. For this a separate room was allocated, so the children could study in a creative atmosphere. An opening ceremony of the STEAM class took place on June 11, 2019 – it was a start of a new educational space in Vileyka.

Thanks to the STEAM class Center's pupils have a cozy and creative space where they can conduct experiments, do research and make their discoveries in the field of natural sciences.

The next stage in the development of the Vileika STEAM-class and its project is the purchase of equipment for even more interesting studies in science and creativity. For this, the pupils and teachers of the Vileika Center launched the project “Planet of Scientific Miracles” on the crowdfunding platform ULEJ.by: https://ulej.by/project?id=1070776.

You can support creative, resourceful and optimistic pupils of the Vileika STEAM Center and give them new educational opportunities right now.
